2008 - This Is Your Season

The amazing thing about a change to a new year is the sense that we can make new beginnings and accept challenges that we may have considered ourselves ill-suited to address in the previous year.

2008 can be your year of wellness and renewal. This can be your season to thrive. You can expect to gain ground this year, to find healing in broken relationships, and overcome obstacles that you once considered to be invincible.

What is different about this year from the last one? For one thing, you now have a full year's more experience than you had only 365 days ago. You have tested out new approaches, found some old approaches to be lacking and recognized some old successes that can be your launching point for whatever trajectory that you choose.

You now know what kinds of excesses that you should avoid. It is clear that merely maintaining the status quo is likely to produce only the same results this year that you have known in past years.

You also understand better how critical it is to maintain constant improvement. Because you are not getting any younger, you will insist upon finding more time for physical exercise, intellectual growth and spiritual development.

You will be less likely to embrace principles that have not shown themselves to be reliable over time. But you will be willing to embrace new approaches to address negative situations that have not worked themselves out.

This season is, in fact, yours to experience in all that it has to offer. You will not be shocked by the mere presence of adversity. Instead, you will place adversity on the run by the force of your own proactive agenda.

You know who you are, and what you are meant to accomplish in this new season. It may not be easy, but your destiny is worth whatever it takes to make it happen. Because you are what is great about 2008!
