July is National Park and Recreation Month

The National Recreation and Park Association has designated July as National Park and Recreation Month.

This is a great opportunity to rediscover the recreation and park services in your community. Also included in this month's celebration are National Therapeutic Recreation Week (July 13-19) and National Youth Sports Week (July 20-26).

Comprised of more than 21,000 recreation and park professionals and citizens, National Recreation and Park Association encourages the promotion of healthy lifestyles, recreation initiatives, and conservation of natural and cultural resources.
